Back in 1917, when Maxine broke her hip and was unable to make Jam for the Willing Worker’s Christmas Sale in Sugar Hill, Apple Hill Farm surprised us with several jars of Christmas jam for us to share with the ladies in town so that their jam table wouldn’t be lacking. They also made a few extra jars for us to take home and try. It was a delicious combination of strawberries and cranberries and when our jars were gone, we missed it.
Last year, Apple Hill Farm received several boxes of cranberries from a Maine farmer and they combined them with their strawberries to make Christmas jam. It was a huge hit and this year Diane at Apple Hill Farm is sharing another limited batch with Harman’s so we can continue to offer the jam to you. Order early because at this point, we only have 60 jars and it will go quickly. The jars we will be selling won’t have the pretty cloth cap from 1917 but we’ll box and gift-wrap them for you.
