Market Information, Guidelines and Application.
Sugar Hill Meetinghouse and the Carolina Crapo Memorial Building

The market is at the Carolina Crapo Building and the Sugar Hill Meetinghouse or you may be on Harman’s lawn. If you have a preference, please note it on your application. You will NOT be able to switch locations on the day of the market.  We offer both in-door and out-door locations.

Out-door locations are 12’x12′.  If you need more space, please note it on your application.  This is New Hampshire, some of the locations are not level, so be prepared.

In-door locations are based on space needed and availability.  We do have some tables available (various sizes) and chairs are provided, if you wish a table, please note it on your application.  On your application, please list the minimum amount of space you need and the maximum amount you would like.    If you need a 10×10 or 12×12 spot, we recommend that you plan on being outside as indoor spaces vary from 4×4 to 7×8 to  6×10 feet.

Set-Up: Saturday: 7 am to 9:30 am. Sunday: 8 to 9:30 am. BEFORE you set up, you need to check in.
Friday set-up will be available during set hours.   You will be notified by the e-newsletter.

Parking: Please WAIT for the parking volunteers before parking in a designated vendor area.  All cars must be parked by 9:30 am.  If you need your car available during the day, note this on your application.  If you need a vehicle or trailer on the grounds after 9:30 am, please note this on your application.

Dogs/Pets: With the exception of service animals, pets are NOT allowed in the buildings. Keep your pet on a leash at all times. If possible, please leave your pet at home.

Smoking: Smoking is NOT allowed in the vendor area. You may smoke in the parking areas.

ATM: There is not an ATM in Sugar Hill, the nearest ATMs are in Franconia or Lisbon.

Toilets: Inside the Meetinghouse, portable toilet at Meetinghouse, downstairs at the Crapo Building.

Internet & Phone Service: Both are very “spotty” in our area.  The Crapo building has wi-fi but there are some dead spots.  The town has installed wi-fi at the Meetinghouse but their are dead spots and also when too many are on at one time, it is very slow.

Coffee & Food: Free coffee will be available for vendors during Saturday & Sunday set-up.  .

Concerts:  There will be at least one free concert.

Information Table:  We will have a table in the Meetinghouse for any questions, issues, or emergencies you or our visitors may have.  They will have the schedule for all demonstrations, market events, and have a map of all vendor locations.  You may also contact any volunteer or the police on duty for help.

Do NOT break down EARLY: Please do NOT pack up or take down tents before closing. We stay open after the concert has finished, allowing people (and the band) a chance to see the market.  If we have a weather situation; you will be notified and we will close early for safety.  If you cannot stay until closing; please note this on your application.  We will consider your request to leave early and assign you a location with that in mind.  If you have to leave due to an emergency, please notify Brenda asap (before you leave).

Trash: If you are sampling at your booth or generating trash, please bring a container to collect your trash. If your booth has a large amount of trash, you will be charged a $2.00 fee for each garbage bag you wish us to dispose of.  Trash bins will be at both locations for our visitors.

Your Tents and Tables overnight: You may leave things up overnight but stake tents securely due to wind and “weather proof”. We cannot take responsibility for anything that you leave set up, therefore, the decision is yours. Everything must be removed by noon on Monday.

Even if you have filled in 100 applications for this market, please complete this application as if it were your first one!

This market is indebted to the town of Sugar Hill. Harman’s is only able to sponsor this mark because of the town’s willingness to host and thanks to the volunteers that assist in many ways. The Police Department sets up signage for parking, the Fire Department loans us their large tent for the concert and seminars, Scott Jesseman & Jean Goehlen loan us the field to park the vehicles in, and others give their time. Help us to leave the grounds and buildings in the best condition possible. Accidents happen, If you break something or if you see something broken, let Brenda know asap.
