The Festival Tour Book is packed full of great information. It will guide you through the festival with a map, event schedule, discounted admissions to "Swing & Sweets" and to "Taste of the Lupine Festival", discounts and information on our area.  This year’s Festival has a little bit of something for everyone! A Photography Workshop to Wildflower Identification Seminar; Art Shows to Wool-Spinning demonstrations; Tea at the Adair Inn to tasting Zelda's jellies at the Open-Air Market. Our local Inns and Businesses have some great history and stories: Mittersill Alpine Resort was a direct result of Baron von Pantz fleeing the Nazis; Sunset Hill House has mountain vistas to welcome you. These Inns and others are hosting open house tours with refreshments as they share their history and stories with you during the Festival.

The Lupine Festival has music, too! Do you like Swing, Folk, Country, Dixieland?  If you want to try out your dance steps, we have a night of Swing & Sweets with the Swing North Big Band and to replenish those calories you burn off dancing, the local Inns are bringin their choicest desserts and this year the event is back at the Meetinghouse in Sugar Hill.

Music, History, Food, and Artisans, too! The annual Art Show will be held June15.  The open air markets will host over 30 vendors and artisans: June 1-2 in Franconia and June 8-9 in Sugar Hill. At the market, you can learn about the arts of working with Fibers, Polish Paper Cutting, Basketry, Historical folks Arts, Beading and Wood Carving.  At the Sugar Hill Market, we are also going to host seminars and workshops on the local area history, digital photography, and more. You'll also find lunch at the markets.  The local ladies of Sugar Hill's Willing Workers organization are going to provide "bag" lunches at the Sugar Hill Market . . . although how they fit homemade soup into a bag, will be interesting.

The Tour Book includes the bonus of recipes to try like Sunset Hill House's Onion Soup.   We have 18 delicious recipes:  Asian Salad  from Franconia Heritage Society or Maple Bacon Biscuits from Polly's Pancake Parlor. Perhaps you’d like to make Cannonballs from Cannon Mountain.  Many of these recipes have an interesting story, waiting for you to discover when you talk to the contributor. And if you want more than recipes, join us for the  "Taste of the Lupine Festival".  On June 15, you can come to the Sugar Hill Meetinghouse and try several delicious bites from Chefs all over our area: The Adair Country Inn, The Littleton Co-op, The Horse and Hound Inn and more.  All under one roof and 2 for one admission with your Lupine Tour Book.  On Saturday at Jun 8th, at 4 pm - you can take in a Wine Tasting at the Sugar Hill Inn.

You'll want to travel during the Festival with the Tourbook because there are also a few unadvertised specials at local businesses for those with the Tour Book. The only downside about the Festival Tour Book is unfortunately you can’t be in two places at once there are times when you will need to make a choice as to where you want to be.
